      Hi People.
So I usualy buy the value eggs from Mr T's.
Think they work out at 9p per egg.
Other day purchased some large free range from local farm shop at 20p per egg.
      Obviously taste MUCH better.
But is it really worth it ????
I tend to poach mine for breakfast, maybe take one or two in my pack up as a snack.
      Cheers

      Eggs. Free range VS Value.

I only mainly eat the liquid egg whites ( two chicks ) but free range when I do purchase eggs.

The taste i can live with, but if they are not as good for you then I may go down the free range road.

I used to buy free range only because I think locking hens in tiny cages is sick, but tbh the amount of eggs I go through these days I cn only afford the value ones nw.My principles out the window for the sake of £1.50 a week, fking economy!

Value eggs are iffy when boiled, I find. Taste is bland and sometimes they come out snotty. Free range is best.

But who's got the dollar to pay £1.20 everyday for eggs alone? Well not me.

When you've got 2 kids and a mortgage and are having 6 at breakfast time on your own, 10 if the family is having eggs then a little clucker who's cramped doesn't enter your mind!
