      It's a horrible situation.

I haven't been drinking/socialising properly now for about 3 months since I've been seriously focusing on the gym.

I started a cycle 4 weeks ago and finish just before my birthday in October. I can start drinking once I finish my Anavar but so many problems arise from hitting the booze..

First off, I will spend a lot of money, this money can go towards new supplements/mass gainers and more healthy rich proteins and other good foods.

Second off, I lose weight when drinking due to the fact I don't eat much and I get seriously dehydrated, couple this with looking fatter the next day due to the alchohol, it's just a mess.

Thirdly, been rough.. this means I won't workout, sometimes 2-3 days after just due to still feeling the effects and feeling weak, horrible in general.

Fourthly, I binge on junk food for the whole next day, eating chinese and other crap usually (More money, fat and bad calories)

Where I live there isn't much to do except going out for a drink and getting hammered, there's the cinema but that's only good when a good movie is out (EXPENDABLES 2 at least!)

So, what do you guys do? I don't even know what the difference is drinking on AAS, are the hangovers empasized, feel worse? I know I feel tired all the time anyway on AAS.

How do you combat the urge to go out drinking, or do you just go out anyway and recover as much as possible? Even if I wait until just as I finish cycle this is probably the worst time ever to drink and mess my routine as this is when I can lose all of my gains... maybe I'm better drinking on cycle and staying off booze for 4 weeks after!!

Need some reassurance as to what others do, it's really annoying me right now

Not gonna lye, it was very hard last summer running without having any booze, but god was the difference worth it and generally happy feeling not being sluggish etc.

All depends how dedicated you are to achieving your personal goals and what time frame.

The thing is, It's almost a guarantee there gains would be better if they didn't drink though.

I gave up drinking 8 months ago because I was fed up feeling rough for days afterwards, my body just couldn't take it any more. Don't know if it was age or diet or what ? But I've felt good since doing it. I never used to believe my mum/dad when they said you don't have to get drunk to enjoy yourself, but it's true.

In a ****hole like Inverness It's true!

If I could drink in moderation it would be great, but I quite simply can't.

After 3-4 pints all self-control is gone and I just want to get wrecked..

Something I've always done on the weekend is to have my training in the early evening so by the time I'm done in the gym and I've got myself home and cooked/eaten a meal its late i'm tired and the last thing i want to do is club/pub drinking.
My social life suffers so badly from dedicated training and dieting but sacrifices have to be made when it comes down to a more serious lifestyle/training schedule.
