Yes, drinking is not bad, but again you need to be in control. You need to understand that any think which you get addicted to, would lead you to damage your body.
I have a beer sometimes, it helps me relax and make my mind sluggish a little. I think it`s benefical for building muscle, as it makes you relax your muscles
Hey everyone, Interesting discussion! I think when it comes to alcohol, it’s all about balance and moderation. Personally, I enjoy the occasional drink, but I’ve noticed it’s important to be mindful of how it fits into my fitness goals. Pros: A drink here and there can be a great way to unwind or socialize with friends—mental health is just as important as physical health. If you’re smart about it (e.g., choosing lower-calorie options), it doesn’t have to derail your progress. Cons: Too much alcohol can definitely impact recovery and performance, especially if it messes with your sleep. It’s easy to forget how calorie-dense some drinks can be, which might stall progress if weight management is your goal. For me, it’s about finding that middle ground—enjoying life without letting it interfere with fitness. Anyone else have tips for balancing the two? Cheers,
I do drink & enjoy it in moderation. Occasionally it goes above the moderate limit, lol, but never when I have to drive. A nice glass of red wine (a personal fave) or a vodka & soda never hurt me.
When it comes to alcohol, I think the key is balance—everything in moderation. A drink here and there can be a great way to relax or socialise, and for many, it’s part of enjoying life. But overdoing it can quickly lead to negative impacts on both physical and mental health, not to mention how it can derail fitness goals. For me, it’s about knowing your limits and being mindful of timing. For example, having a drink the night before a heavy leg day? Probably not the best idea! But enjoying a drink with friends on a rest day? That’s where I think balance really shines. What about you? Do you find it easy to balance alcohol with your fitness goals, or does it tend to get in the way? Would love to hear how others handle it.
