Trying to ship two large studio monitor speakers but when moved we chucked the boxes stupidly

Anyone know any couriers that collect an bring a big box for your items too if you wrap them in bubble wrap too?

290x360x430 are the dimensions of each speaker

Hi Mate, worked in Sales for TNT for 3 years. It depends if you are shipping them overseas or just domestically? DHL may be your best bet as they do spend a lot of money on packaging for advertisement purposes. I think though saying that DHL sold their UK network to HDNL which has not been a good move. The problem is if a courier provides you with packaging and the goods get damaged in transit it could make the courier liable for a claim on the goods as the packaging may not of been sufficient enough. Also, not many courier drivers would deliver the packaging for you and wait for you to package them and then take the goods due to time constraints. The best thing to do is contact your local depots and perhaps take the speakers to them for despatch. Be careful who you choose as if you don't ship regularly you will not get preferential rates and with large speakers you could be paying more then their worth to move them. Work out the dimensions against the weight. Usually if the volume is more then the weight it will get caught at the sortation hub and volumized(charged at the highest). If you know any companies that use couriers see if you can send them on their account and pay the company direct. DPD are good domestically but they are not necessarily set up for larger items.

Or if they are worth a lot, wrap them in bubble wrap and palletize them on a euro pallet. Again you need to be careful of volume vs dead weight but you could use a slower domestic freight service that may take a few days but they tend to do a pallet rate of between £50-£70 quid. Pallex or Palletline may be good. Where are these going and what are the dims roughly?

Is this cm or mm ? Length x Width x Height ??

As they are studio speakers I would assume the dims are cm? Would make a massive difference ....

This is a good point but I would still call around for quotes as they do get offered slightly better rates but then put their mark up on the items.
