      Heart warming story
People wth autism really lose out on the lottery of life, I learned about it in Psychology A-level..
They can't read simple face expressions, so they wouldn't know if yuo were angry or happy with them
They can't grasp simple concepts of empathy (how someone else feels)

I generally feel sorry for them, of course many savants can be pretty intelligent, I remember learning about some guy who had autism, he was in a helicopter and flew over london, after the flight he drew a birds eye view of the city, got everything pretty much spot on, london bridge, buckingham palace etc

that post is a bit hit and miss to be honest mate but kind of right in a way

each and every AS adult/child is different in many ways and all are extremely clever and articulate and certain areas of life and mind

each and every day lving with AS is an ongoing battle but a real journey with rewards

some on here know already my 4 year old boy has AS and although im this big 18+stone strongman I am the first to admit I often break into tear on a weekly basis with some of the battle we go through as a famliy and watchin him in his world

Can draw entire cities with excellent precision and detail.. Can't imagine themselves and how another person can feel...
Can add up and multiply really large numbers... Can't understand the concept of taking turns with games

What a crazy world we live in!! I'd want to live just one day as a savant to actually know what its like, they are really interesting people, but deserve all the help thy get to do simple tasks in life
