      This man is a true British LEGEND and deserves to be knighted!!

      What he has done for British cycling by winning the Tour De France and now winning his 4th Olympic Gold is just amazing

      Great achievement winning the tour and an olympic gold in the same year.

      BBC Sports personality of the year, then a knighthood in the new year honours, gotta be a dead cert.

      All the people on this forum banging on about how bad we have done at the Olympics and we are pulling it right out of the bag now
