For about 2 weeks now, my post-workout meal has been 2 scoops of whey protein in 16 oz of water, one banana for the carbs, and then some watermelon for an insulin spike. What do you guys think about this, is it a good post-workout meal, or what can I do to make it better? Thanks!

Sounds tasty. If you like how it works, all power to you. By the sounds of it, it should do the job.

you don't need an insulin spike lol. Post workout nutrition isn't necessary and it isn't a big deal. But I just eat whatever my next meal happens to be

I thought it was? Doesn't it make bigger gains? And shift you from a catabolic state to anabolic

If you are really concerned about post-workout nutrition, take about a half an hour after your workout to eat. That half hour allows your body to continue to produce HGH.

      Nooooo.

Jesus Christ I wish this stupid myth would die.

The importance of post workout nutrition is overstated a lot. You don't have to overthink it, just eat something with protein in it.

It's not really incorrect. It's just that endogenous growth hormone production does nothing. HGH is not particularly anabolic without insulin, and insulin is what blunts it's release. Unless you are injecting growth hormone and injecting insulin, there is no reason to ever worry about it.
