Im having trouble doing the bench press , I just cant do it, all my other friends are lifting like 70-80 pounds and I can barely do 50. I don't work out my chest that often so is that normal?

Well, I'm 16 too and pretty much started where you are at, just don't worry about what you are at compared to others. Worry about if your own number is increasing or not (if you want it to). If you are getting stronger, you are doing great. No matter if you go from 50-60 lbs, 100-110 lbs, or 300-310 lbs. It is improvement. There's always gonna be people lifting more than you, the only reason to compare is to get motivation.

So start working on that chest, OP! (And everything else)

P.S. Don't forget to eat. And sleep.

Once you learn correct form and start benching regularly, whilst following a solid program, you'll be benching way more than your friends.

If you're a beginner, I don't understand the problem. You're obviously weaker than your friends, all the more reason to lift.
