Injection experience from hell this morning. Showered and prepared and then stuck the needle into my quad (jabbed quads about 12 times so have experience). Got about 1cm in and felt a very sharp pain that I haven't felt before, tried to go a fraction further in and the pain was too much so I pulled out the needle and blood started coming out pretty thick (more than usual after a jab). I had tissue ready and held it over as a compress and then applied the plaster.

Here is my question, I then carefully took off the needle and attached a fresh one to the syringe - was this the right thing to do? I didn't want to throw my gear away and I hadn't injected any of the gear in my first injection attempt.

Things got worse, I cleaned up and sterilised a new injection site and this time I hit a nerve!! half way in my leg started twitching and jolting, so I pulled out, changed needle (again!) and picked a 3rd spot. This time it went through perfectly, like normal. Used my usual sites here so not sure what happened!

Did I follow the right procedure?

      Thanks

end of the day mate its your blood in the syringe, maybe need to start switching sites and see how you get on-i've been having some issues myself with quad shots so maybe gonna go back to glutes for a while

Yeah I'm thinking of trying glutes soon tbh, I've only ever done quads. On the plus side, 6 weeks of quad injections and my pip is usually minimal and gone within 2 days.

      Ouch! Sounds nasty mate!
I think what you did was fine! Needles cost next to nothing and its best to safe than sorry when it comes to infections... out of interest... what part of your quad to you use to pin?

If you divide the quad up into 4 quarters I inject into the top outer quarter, nearest to my hip. I am 6'4 so I have plenty of quad to choose from lol.

Do you solo inject the glute? I've often thought of doing it as the wife flatly refuses to be involved in my "dirty, illegal activities"....
