      This all the protein I consume a day, see my break down.

      I'm 14st 2, 198 pounds

      198 x 1.5g of protein = 297...this is what I thought I need a day.

      Right now I'm on pct so I've upped it slightly to help keep my gains, but after pct I'll drop it again

      Cottage cheese = 34.5g
      Milk = 30.6g
      Chicken = 125g
      Shakes 31.7g lean gain shake (am), 44g bbw whey (4pm), all in one and one scoop bbw whey = 57.8 (after training)
      Mixed beans = 32.4g (full tin, half tin of kidney beans)

      All = 356g a day, as I say I'll drop this too 300 after pct.

      The reason why I'm checking my brother is convinced I shouldn't consume more than 225g a day. Fact says im going over board...and the maximum my body can take is 225 for my weight.

      Am I wrong? I thought I was pretty much bang on

      Cheers lads...if Im way way way over I'll save some money and cut riiiiiight back on protein

      There is no maximum. The body will utilise whatever you give it.

      If, for example protein is sky high and everything else very low, the body can convert protein (and fats to an extent) into whatever macronutrients it needs ( cho is made via a process called gluconeogenesis) and carbs for example can be converted to fats, via a process called de-novo lipogenesis, however that particular process is so inefficient, it's rare.

      Anyways, to cut i short, aye it's aye a wee bit high, nothing mental however providing you are getting enough foodstuffs from other sources, healthy fats etc etc

      TBH probably don't need that much but I doubt it would do any harm - I tend to stick around 1g per lb

      In fact, there was a recent video of a IFBB pro claiming he sticks to 150g a day

      If it were me though, I would still keep it very high if your on a cycle...

      many bodybuilders over do protein, no real harm apart from ****ing up your kidneys

      use less protein, the body adapts and you utilise it better, being reading it this topic recently

      If protein ruined the kidneys, the human race wouldn't have made it past the stone age. Fact.
